Positive: + Reasonable value for the money--this isn't a high-end resort, but it also isn't that expensive + The resort wasn't very full when we were there, so the pool wasn't crowded, which was great. + The food was fine. Servers in the restaurants were pleasant and many remembered us from meal to meal.
Negative: - There are very few activities--the entertainment staff seemed almost embarrassed to try to get an activity going. Absolutely nothing going on after dinner. - I was trapped inside the bathroom almost immediately upon checking in because the sliding door needed repair, which was on par for most of the facilities, which generally felt run down. They came to fix the door and get me out, but the door was never quite right. - My husband and I both arrived ill with a water-borne infection, so we called for a doctor early one morning. A member of the hotel staff on the medical team attended the doctor's visit, but was on her phone the entire time. At the end of the visit, we clarified with the doctor AND the attendant SEVERAL times that the hotel attendant would bring the prescriptions the doctor had written for us to the pharmacy for us. That was around noon. When we checked in at 4pm to see if the medicine had arrived, the front desk told us it would be another hour. At 5, when I checked in again, they said they had no idea what I was talking about and it turned out the attendant had NOT sent our prescriptions to the pharmacy. After a lot of back and forth, we finally received our prescriptions at 7PM. I understand there was a miscommunication, but you do expect a bit more care from the staff when you're ill. And the hotel staff didn't apologize for the confusion; instead, they blamed US for not understanding (even though the doctor told us the hotel would take care of the prescriptions and we were both dehydrated and barely able to get out of bed). It was an entire day of my vacation wasted waiting for medicine, and left a bad impression of the staff.
